একবার চীনের এক প্রখ্যাত ধনী ব্যক্তি বলেছিলেন, "যদি বানরের সামনে কলা এবং টাকা রাখা হয়, তবে বানর কলাকেই বেছে নেবে, কারণ তারা জানে না যে টাকা দিয়ে অসংখ্য কলা কেনা সম্ভব।" বাস্তবতায়, যদি মানুষের সামনে চাকরি এবং ব্যবসার সুযোগ রাখা হয়, বেশিরভাগ মানুষ চাকরিকেই বেছে নেবে, কারণ তাদের কোন ধারণা নেই এবং তারা বুঝতে পারেনা যে ব্যবসার মাধ্যমিক কিভাবে চাকরি করার তুলনায় অনেক বেশি মুনাফা অর্জন করা যায়।

বেশিরভাগ গরিব সারা জীবন দরিদ্র অবস্থায় থেকে যায় এর অন্যতম প্রধান কারণ হলো তারা উদ্যোক্তা হওয়ার সুযোগ ও সামর্থ্য কখনোই চিনতে শেখে না। তারা জীবনের দীর্ঘ সময় স্কুল, কলেজ এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ব্যয় করে, যেখানে তাদের শেখানো হয় কিভাবে বেতনের জন্য একটি রাষ্ট্রের দাস হওয়া যায়। নিজের জন্য কাজ করার জন্য বা কোন প্রতিষ্ঠানে মালিক হবার জন্য বা দেশকে নেতৃত্ব দেবার মত নেতা হবার জন্য নয় এই সকল তথাকথিত শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান গুলো কখনোই শিক্ষা প্রদান করে না। আর এই ভাবেই শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো আমাদের সাথে প্রতিনিয়ত ধোঁকাবাজি করে দাসত্বের শিকল পরিয়ে ফায়দা লুটে নিচ্ছে।

আবার জনসাধারণের ভেতর অনেকেই অর্থ উপার্জনের কৌশল না জানার কারণে হয়ে যায় দুর্নীতি পরায়ণ অথবা অপরাধ প্রবণ। যার ফলে তারা চাকুরী কিংবা কাজের মাধ্যমে অবৈধ উপায়ে অধিক উপার্জন করতে চায়। যদিও বা ব্যবসার মাধ্যমে অবৈধ উপার্জন আরো অধিক সম্ভব যদি কারো মনে অসৎ উদ্দেশ্য থেকে থাকে।

তবে যা ই হোক, মুনাফা বেতনের তুলনায় সর্বদাই অধিক মূল্যবান। কারণ চাকুরীর মাধ্যমে বেতন আপনাকে জীবিকা নির্বাহের সুযোগ এবং জীবনে সচ্ছলতা ও নিশ্চয়তা এনে দিবে ঠিকই কিন্তু ব্যবসায়ের মাধ্যমে মুনাফা আপনাকে অধিক সম্পদশালী করার বা আপনাকে কোন কিছুর মালিক বানানোর কিংবা অনেক সময়ে রাষ্ট্রের বড় কোন ক্ষমতা গ্রহণেরও সম্ভাবনাও এনে দিতে পারে, এবং এটিই বাস্তবতা।

Once, a renowned wealthy man in China said, "If a banana and money are placed in front of a monkey, the monkey will choose the banana because it doesn’t understand that money can buy countless bananas." In reality, if a job and a business opportunity are presented to people, most will choose the job because they have no idea and cannot comprehend how business can generate far greater profits than working a job.

One of the primary reasons most poor people remain in poverty throughout their lives is that they never learn to recognize or seize the opportunity to become entrepreneurs. They spend a significant portion of their lives in schools, colleges, and universities, where they are taught how to become servants of a state in exchange for a salary. These so-called educational institutions never teach individuals how to work for themselves, become owners of organizations, or lead their nation as leaders. This is how educational institutions continuously deceive us, chaining us to servitude while profiting from our limitations.

Additionally, many people in society become corrupt or inclined toward crime due to their lack of knowledge about how to earn money effectively. As a result, they seek to earn more illegally through jobs or work. Interestingly, earning illicitly through business is often more lucrative if one has dishonest intentions.

However, regardless of the method, profit is always more valuable than a salary. While a salary from a job provides you with the means to sustain your livelihood and ensures a certain level of stability and comfort, profit from a business has the potential to make you wealthier, turn you into an owner, or even, at times, allow you to wield significant power within a state. And that is the reality.
