মুসলিমদের উদ্দেশ্য করে প্রায়ই বিভিন্ন মহল হতে এই শব্দগুলো ব্যবহার করে অপমান করার চেষ্টা করা হয়। চলুন জেনে নেই এই শব্দগুলোর দ্বারা মূলত কি বোঝানো হয় এবং বিভিন্ন মহল কি বোঝাতে চেষ্টা করে:
🔶 ইন্টারনেটে শব্দগুলো সার্চ করে দেখুন:
➥ ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামি, ধর্মান্ধতা, কট্টরপন্থি, এবং জঙ্গি শব্দগুলো ইন্টারনেটে সার্চ দিলেই সাধারণত মুসলমানদের নাম/ছবি/কর্মকাণ্ড নেতিবাচকভাবে উপস্থাপন করা হয়। শব্দগুলো যদিও কোন বিশেষ ধর্মের মানুষের জন্য প্রযোজ্য নয় তবুও কেবল উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিতভাবে মুসলিমদের জন্যই মিডিয়া এবং বিভিন্ন মহল শব্দগুলো অধিক ব্যবহার করে থাকে।
➥ মুসলিমরা বিভিন্ন মহল থেকে এই শব্দগুলো শুনে অভ্যস্ত হয়ে গেছে এবং বুঝতে পারে যে এসব শব্দ দিয়ে তাদের উদ্দেশ্য করেই গালমন্দ করা হয়।
➥ তবে বিভিন্ন ধর্মীয় বিশ্বাসে বিশ্বাসীদের ব্যাপারে খুব কমই এ সকল শব্দ ব্যবহার করতে দেখা যায়।
🔶 ধর্মান্ধতার ধারণা:
➥ প্রত্যেক ধর্মের মানুষই মূলত ধর্মান্ধ, কারণ তারা এমন কিছু ধারণাকে বিশ্বাস করে যা অদৃশ্য।
➥ যেমন, হিন্দু, মুসলিম, বৌদ্ধ, খ্রিস্টান প্রত্যেকেই সৃষ্টিকর্তা, স্বর্গ, নরকের ইত্যাদি অস্তিত্বে বিশ্বাস করে থাকে। বাস্তবিক পৃথিবীতে এগুলোকে খালি চোখে দেখা যায় না।
➥ অন্যদিকে, নাস্তিকরা অবস্তুগত ধারণায় বিশ্বাস করে না, বরং বাস্তবিক, দৃশ্যমান, ও বস্তুগত বিষয়ে বিশ্বাসী। এজন্য তারা ধর্মান্ধ শব্দটি ধার্মিক ব্যক্তিদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করে তবে বিশেষত মুসলমানদের ক্ষেত্রে বেশি ব্যবহার করে।
🔶 জঙ্গি শব্দের বিশ্লেষণ:
➥ "জঙ্গি" শব্দের অর্থ হলো "যোদ্ধা"। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, জঙ্গি বিমান।
➥ মুসলিমরা যখন তাদের ধর্ম রক্ষার্থে যুদ্ধ করে, তখন তারা জঙ্গি বা যোদ্ধা হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়।
➥ ১৯৭১ সালের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বাঙালিরা পাকিস্তানীদের কাছে ছিল "জঙ্গি"। অর্থাৎ, তারা ছিল বাঙালি জঙ্গি বা যোদ্ধা।
➥ রাসূল (সা.) ও সাহাবীরা জীবনে অনেক যুদ্ধ পরিচালনা করেছেন, তাই সেই অনুযায়ী তাদেরও "জঙ্গি" বা "যোদ্ধা" বলা যেতে পারে।
➥ মুসলমানদের ধর্মীয় যুদ্ধ বা জিহাদ এর হাদিস নিয়ে আলোচনা করার কারণে তাদের প্রায়ই বিভিন্ন মহল হতে সবচেয়ে বেশি"জঙ্গি" বলে সম্বোধন করা হয়।
➥ আফ|গান|স্তানের তা|লে||বা|নরা যুদ্ধজয়ের পূর্বে "জঙ্গি" এবং যুদ্ধ জয়ের পরে "যোদ্ধা" হিসেবে বিশ্বের দরবারে পরিচিত হয়।
➥ ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্পও যুদ্ধজয়ের পরে তা|লে||বান|দের "গ্রেট ফাইটার" হিসেবে আখ্যা দিয়েছিলেন। অথচ যুদ্ধ জয়ের পূর্বে তা|লে||বা|ন কে ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প বলেছিলেন কট্টরপন্থী।
🔶 অপতৎপরতা বা সন্ত্রাসবাদ:
➥ যারা অপতৎপরতা চালায়, তারা কখনো জঙ্গি নয়; বরং তারা সন্ত্রাসী বা অপরাধী। তাই তাদের কখনো জঙ্গি বলা যায় না।
➥ যারা সন্ত্রাসবাদ বা অপরাধ পরিচালনা করে তাদের কোনো ধর্মের ভিত্তিতে নয় বরং ব্যক্তি হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করা হয়। যে কেউ অপরাধ করলে তাকে সন্ত্রাসী বা অপরাধী বলা যায়, সে কখনো জঙ্গি হতে পারে না।
➥ শুধুমাত্র যুদ্ধের উদ্দেশ্যে কোন গোষ্ঠী নির্দিষ্ট কোনো কারণে লড়াই করলেই তাকে "যোদ্ধা" বা "জঙ্গি" বলা যায়।
➥ তারপরেও বিভিন্ন মিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে যদি কেউ সন্ত্রাসী কার্যক্রম বা আপতৎপরতা করে এবং সে যদি মুসলিম সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয় তবে সর্বদাই উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিতভাবে মুসলিম জঙ্গি বলে আখ্যা দেয়া হয়। অন্যদিকে অন্যান্য ধর্মালম্বীরা কোন সন্ত্রাসবাদ কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করলে তাদেরকে কেবল-ই সন্ত্রাসী বলে চিহ্নিত করা হয়। আপনি সর্বদাই শুনবেন মুসলিম সন্ত্রাসী, কিন্তু মিডিয়ায় হিন্দু সন্ত্রাসী, খ্রিস্টান সন্ত্রাসী বা বৌদ্ধ সন্ত্রাসী বলে তেমন কোন টার্ম খুঁজে পাবেন না।
🔶 ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামি বা মৌলবাদ:
➥ এর ইংরেজি পারিভাষিক শব্দ হলো "religious fundamentalism"। এটি একটি সামাজিক বা সাংস্কৃতিক ধারণা, যেখানে মানুষ তার ধর্মীয় বিশ্বাস বা নিয়মকানুন কঠোরভাবে মেনে চলে।
➥ ধর্মীয় মৌলবাদের উদাহরণ: মুসলিমদের মধ্যে নামাজ, রোজা, হজ, যাকাত, হারাম-হালালের পুঙ্খানুপুঙ্খ পালন করা ইত্যাদি। বা অন্য যেকোনো ধর্মের মানুষরা যদি তাদের ধর্মীয় বিধি-বিধান যথাযথভাবে পালন করে তবে তাদের কেউ ধর্মীয় ভাবি মৌলবাদী বলা যায়।
➥ সেই অনুযায়ী হিন্দু, বৌদ্ধ বা ক্রিস্টান ধর্মের সাধু/পণ্ডিত/ফাদার এবং মুসলিম ধর্মের হুজুর বা স্কলাররা সকলকেই ধর্মীয় মৌলবাদী হিসেবে চিহ্নিত করা যেতে পারে।
➥ এবং একইভাবে যারা সঠিকভাবে ধর্মীয় নিয়ম-কানুন, আদেশ-নিষেধ পালন করে, তারাও মৌলবাদী কেননা তারা ধর্মের মৌলিক বিষয়গুলো অনেক আন্তরিকতার সাথে পালন করে।
➥ এটি নেতিবাচক কোন শব্দ নয়; বরং তাদের ধার্মিক জীবনের প্রতিফলন। তবে বিভিন্ন মহল (যেমন নাস্তিকরা) এই শব্দটিকে বিশেষকরে মুসলিমদের ক্ষেত্রে নেতিবাচকভাবে প্রকাশ করে। কেননা তাদের নিকট অদৃশ্যের প্রতি বিশ্বাস (যেমন জান্নাত জাহান্নাম ইত্যাদির প্রতি বিশ্বাস) স্থাপন করে সমাজে কোন কাজ সংঘটিত করলে (যেমন যথাযথভাবে হারাম হালাল মেনে চলা নামাজ রোজা করা) সেটি তাদের কাছে গোড়ামী হিসেবে চিহ্নিত হয়।
➥কিন্তু অন্যান্য ধর্মাবলম্বীদের ভেতর কেউ তার ধর্ম যথাযথ ভাবে পালন করলেও কখনই তাদেরকে ধর্মীয় মৌলবাদ বা ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামি ইত্যাদি শব্দ তাদের প্রতি তেমন একটা ব্যবহার করতে দেখবেন না।

🔶 Search These Words on the Internet:
➥ Searching for terms like religious extremism, fanaticism, radicalism, and militancy on the internet usually reveals negative representations of Muslims, including their names, images, and activities.
➥ Although these terms are not specific to any religion, they are disproportionately used by media and other groups to describe Muslims.
➥ Muslims have grown accustomed to hearing these terms directed at them as a form of insult.
➥ Rarely are such terms applied to followers of other religions.
🔶 The Concept of Religious Fanaticism:
➥ Every religious person is essentially a "fanatic," as they believe in concepts that are intangible and invisible.
➥ For example, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians all believe in the existence of a creator, heaven, hell, etc., which are not visible in the material world.
➥ On the other hand, atheists do not believe in intangible concepts but focus on the physical and visible aspects of reality. Therefore, they often use the term "fanatic" for religious individuals, particularly Muslims.

➥ The term "militant" literally means "fighter." For instance, fighter planes are referred to as "militant planes."
➥ When Muslims fight to protect their faith, they are labeled as militants or fighters.
➥ In 1971, during the Bangladesh Liberation War, Bengalis were considered "militants" by Pakistan. They were essentially Bengali fighters.
➥ The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions participated in numerous battles in their lifetimes. Based on this understanding, they too could be called "fighters" or "militants."
➥ Muslims are often labeled as militants due to their religious battles or discussions of jihad in hadiths.
➥ For example, the Taliban in Afghanistan were referred to as "militants" before their victory, but after their success, they were acknowledged as "fighters" on the global stage.
➥ Even Donald Trump called the Taliban "great fighters" after their victory, though he had previously referred to them as extremists.
🔶 Subversive Activities or Terrorism:
➥ Those who engage in subversive activities are not militants but terrorists or criminals. Hence, they cannot be referred to as militants.
➥ Individuals or groups who commit acts of terrorism or crimes should be identified based on their actions rather than their religion. Anyone committing such acts can be called a terrorist or criminal, but never a militant.
➥ A group fighting for a specific cause with legitimate objectives may be called "fighters" or "militants."
➥ Yet, when a Muslim individual or group is involved in such activities, media often labels them as Muslim militants, while individuals from other religions are merely labeled as terrorists or criminals. ➥ Thus, Hindu, Buddhist, or Christian religious leaders (such as saints, monks, or priests) and Muslim scholars (such as imams or ulemas) can all be categorized as fundamentalists.
➥ Likewise, devout individuals who strictly follow their religious rules can also be called fundamentalists, as they sincerely adhere to the core tenets of their faith.
➥ This is not a negative term but a reflection of their pious way of life. However, groups like atheists often misuse this term negatively, particularly when referring to Muslims, because they view adherence to invisible beliefs (like heaven, hell, etc.) as extremism.
➥ On the other hand, strict practitioners of other religions are rarely labeled as fundamentalists or fanatics.
